About City Leaders
LISTED: EUROPE’S LEADING CITIES
Your guide to Europe’s leading urban centres is here.
Within this year’s listings you will find in-depth profiles of 110 leading European cities. Each individual profile outlines the core economic activities of each city, major real estate development projects, transport and infrastructure links, and also contains key demographic information.
The cities are classified according to categories taken from The State of European Cities, a report compiled for the European Commission. The eight classifications range from Knowledge Hubs to Gateways: the complete list of categories with full definitions can be found in the Research Sources section of this magazine.
This year’s listings are accompanied by statistical data provided by Europe’s leading real estate research firms. Industry giants DTZ plc, Multi Corporation, Oxford Economics and Real Capital Analytics have all contributed data to our profiles.
Finally, this year’s listings also boast interviews with key representatives of leading European cities. We hope these interviews provide insights into the challenges facing Europe’s urban centres and help explain some of the issues raised within the profiles.
